So, I got the idea of the ticker from a friend who was ticking away the time until her first-born turned 3. I checked out the website lilypie.com and found that they have one you can create for your pregnancy...bonus! This way everyone can keep up with how much time is left before the baby arrives...not that I put a lot of faith in the due date because I've never come close to one and I don't intend to this time either! Soon I will be posting a poll to see how many people think it's a girl and how many think it's a boy.

Ladies-a-Napping
Ainsley and her friends decided to take a nap the other day. I thought it would make a cute picture. The cabbage patch with the red hair was mine when I was little so it's really neat to see her playing with it! The other CPK in purple came from Emily and then Cinderella (Ainsley's favorite princess) is right next to her. She even made sure they all had their own pillow.
Bubble Oodles
I don't know how many of you are familiar with Gymboree's Bubble Oodles but they are hands-down THE best bubbles for kids. They're easy to blow and you can even catch them! If you have a Gymboree Play and Music or Gymboree clothing store in your town/city and you know a kiddo who likes bubbles, they're the best! I love them because you can blow them inside and not make a huge mess. They stick to everything and last most of the day (Ainsley was still finding some after she got home from school). If they get on your furniture or your walls, simply wipe them off with a cloth. Ok, that was my PSA for the day.
Anyway, Z and I took a trip to Gymboree last week to buy some new duds and we got a refill on our Bubble Oodles. Here he is trying to catch them all.

Dress-Up
The other day we were hanging out in Ainsley's room and so I was taking pictures of Z...I asked him to play "peek-a-boo",
then pray,
and then I asked him where his nose was...his finger went right in!
Since Ainsley was playing dress-up, he decided that would be fun too. I think it is time to invest in some cowboy hats, fireman attire and other "boyish" dress up clothes. He found Ainsley's Belle shoes and tried those on for size...sorry Z, Cinderella you are not!
Ains was wearing her Dora bathing suit so he thought he would wear the Ariel one. He hasn't quite figured out how to put it on other than over his head.
What a ham! He likes purses and necklaces too. My mom asked what Mike thought about that and I really don't think he cares. Zechariah is only 18 months so to him it is all fun and games...and pretty entertaining for the rest of us! 2.14.2008
Happy Valentine's Day!
Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day and tell you all that even though we may not get to talk much or see one another very often, you're on our minds and in our hearts always!
Love,
Mike, Amber, Ainsley, Zechariah and #3

If Only He Was a Little Bit Taller!
Zechariah LOVES to vacuum! He got a puppy vacuum for Christmas and runs around vacuuming a few times a day. If only they could invent a safe "play" vacuum for kids that actually works! And if only he was a little taller, he could manuever the real vacuum for me! Any time we get the vacuum out, he follows us around and pretty much stands right where you need to be vacuuming. Mike let him have it to see what he would do and he got it moving forward but couldn't quite pull it back. He really likes to use the hose. And as you can see in the 3rd picture, he doesn't like when you take it away (or if Ainsley does!)
