No More Cast!

Z got his cast off on Tuesday. We were all very surprised to find out after X-rays that no more splint or half cast was necessary. We also thought it was funny that he wore the same shirt!

He has to take it easy for a month and work on his range of motion but he's thrilled to be out of his cast. He's also excited that when his month is over, he still has 10 baseball games left in the season:)

Great Sports Weekend!

This weekend was opening day for baseball and both boys had a game. J also had soccer in the morning. Much better weather than the 40 mph winds, rain, hail and snow we had during her game last week!

That little lady in the green was smart to wear her jacket that way!! I think the next few pictures show the weather improvement.

Dylan's first rookie game. The second time he was at bat he hit a ball right down the first base line. He was out but we were thrilled that he had a hit!

J's team won, Dylan's team won and Z's team won:) Z isn't playing but he still suits up and hangs with his team in the dugout. He gets his cast off for X-rays tomorrow and we'll see what kind of recasting takes place based on the X-ray results.

Fun Times in the ER

Yesterday Z fell out of a tree that he has climbed a million times. He tried to catch himself with his left wrist but it was too high of a fall. He fractured his left radius. We spent 3.5 hours in the ER.
We met some great doctors, nurses and techs who made him laugh and smile. Very thankful for people who dedicate their time to helping others especially in the ER...such a tough place to work.
He has a splint for now until we can get a cast in the next few days. Not sure what will happen with baseball starting up soon. Hopefully he heals fully and quickly!
