It's That Time of Year...

Balloon Fiesta is here!!!

This morning 2 balloons took off from Ains and Z's school. We went early and got some coffee and hot chocolate and watched them inflate and lift off!

LOVE this time of year=)

Coming Together

Progress has been a little slow lately with the bathroom but I think we're starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Seems like they get going and things are great for like a week and then everything stops again.

what a mess!
Last week most of the drywall/green board was finished and the shower pan installed. This week the rest of the green board was installed in the shower and today the shower and tub surrounds went in. Ainsley made me laugh the other day because she thought the color on the walls around the bathtub was the color we chose to paint the bathroom! When she found out that was the green board and that it would be covered, she suggested we find that color at Lowe's because it looked nice=)

Here are a few samples we did like...not all of them are in the running but since they come in 3's they're included! I think picking out paint is soooooo difficult! ***Would love to know your selection...give it a number 1-18 (1 being the first one on the left and so on!)***bathroom door and vanity area (with tub propped against the wall)

the tub surround

next stop is tile, vanity and cabinet installation and then lighting and accents! we'll keep you posted!

My Little Soccer Man

Z started soccer this past weekend and is loving it! He is very natural at it and seems to understand it pretty well. I will have to admit that he is a bit of a ball hog but at least he goes after the ball. His team is really great...great group of super involved parents and families and all the boys did really well for their first game! Z even scored two goals!!

Bathroom Update

The bathroom has been worked on every day this week so far and we're thrilled to see it coming along. Once again, the pictures are backwards but you get the idea!

They have hung almost all of the drywall and green board except for the shower enclosure. The area above the sink has been covered and drywalled. Most of the mudding and taping has been done and some of the texturing as well. I haven't heard about the vanities' whereabouts...they have been lost in transit somewhere! Not sure how you lose a vanity but we're proof it can be done! At least there were things that could be done while we waited for them to arrive=)

the toilet enclosure is more enclosed now!
this was it before

the area above the sinks that was taken out for new wiring, etc. we could see all the way to the vent on the roof and see the sun shining!

ahhh...the tub! so looking forward to this when it is finished. i'm going to have to fight the kids for it i'm sure!

Dragging

The bathroom remodel seems to be at a standstill! We have a tub in its little enclosure and all the framing is done. We've picked out the tile, vanity tops, shower enclosure and tub surround but nothing is moving right now. Hoping to have a bathroom by October=)

The bathroom may be at a standstill but life continues to move...too fast sometimes! Z is getting over some bug/virus/nasty thing that has kept him out of school the last two days. The washer and dryer got quite a workout over the holiday weekend=)

Dylan is saying more and more words everyday! Some of his new ones are: go, amen, airplane, shoe and please! He has been signing "please" for a long time but said it for the first time the other day!

Soccer starts this weekend for Z and he is super excited to wear all of his new gear! I can't believe how tiny his shin guards and cleats are!!! Mike will be coaching the first two games but he's really the assistant.

I start BSF next week. I am going to be a Children's Leader this year. I'm so excited to start this new adventure=)

And I'm loving this weather!!
