Easter Festivities

Ainsley had an Easter egg hunt at school on Thursday. The teachers asked if parents could come help with a cooking activity and hide Easter eggs. I was asked to dye some coconut green and help the kids with the frosting for their cupcakes. They were given red coconut (to signify the blood Christ shed for us) for the tops of their cupcakes and green for grass around the cupcakes (where they hid their jelly beans). I guess they wanted to celebrate the religious significance of Easter as well as the tradition. Then the kids stayed inside while some of us went out and hid Easter eggs for Ainsley's class and the class next door. Ainsley is the one in the blue dress sitting next to her teacher Ms. Mendy, the one who started and still calls her Annsley=0)
Sunday afternoon we went over to Mike's parents' for an Easter egg hunt and dinner. It is tradition in the Plowman family to have Bunny Cake so Mike made it. This is the pre-decorated picture.

Viola! Here is the completed Bunny Cake

As you can see, Zechariah wasn't too interested in finding any eggs!
All the rest of the kiddos (and Terry and Kim) finding eggs.
