when our house still belonged to my in-laws, Ainsley had planted some sunflower seeds and a very tall sunflower grew. it could be seen over the courtyard roof if you were passing by on the street. when we moved in, it died. what can i say, i'm not very good with plants! but very soon into the summer, sunflowers started sprouting. at last count there were 25! they grew taller and taller but didn't seem to be doing much else. then, one day they started blooming! they remind me of my grandparents and the drive to see them. once you hit the dirt road, almost the rest of the way to their house was lined with sunflowers and i loved it!
