Just Plugging Along

We're still plugging along...no baby yet for those of you who haven't heard from us in a little while. It's funny, when I call friends now, the first thing they ask is if I have a new baby yet. I promise that I will try my best to let everyone know when that time arrives. But just in case Mike or I don't get a chance to call you, check the blog out periodically because that is how I planned to let everyone know.
Below are a few pictures of the kids doing their thing. Ains and Z are sharing a room now so here is a picture of what the bedtime story looks like. Mike thought it was cute how Z always has to cover himself up for story!
Here are Ains and Z at a Ty's birthday party. They had one of those above ground pools and Z was dying to get in it even though he could barely stand up in it. He has moved on from the baby pool, I guess. He mostly held on to the side but there were a few moments where he made me nervous because he would just turn around and walk away! Thankfully, Mike was standing right there in case anything happened.

He liked the slip-and-slide too but mostly like to stand right in the way of everyone else!
Here is Z getting out all the DVDs and movies...we've broken a couple already. Now the cabinet is locked!
So, I guess it is just the waiting game now. Mike is heading back from a full week in Amarillo and Kansas City and will be arriving tonight. This was, as he called it, his "last hurrah" before the baby was here. Hopefully he won't have to travel too quickly after she's born. I know that he will have to go eventually and that the sooner I get adjusted to it, the better but, the idea of it kind of freaks me out now. One day at a time=0)
We've got some parties to go to soon. Our nephew Ethan is turning 3 on the 15th...can't believe it. I can remember holding him in the hospital when he was born and now he's this little guy running around, full of energy and all boy! I just can't believe how fast the time goes. Then, Z's 2nd birthday is coming up on the 19th. (His party will be on the 17th.) The 19th is also the first day back to school (and his first day of school) so I'm hoping the birth of this baby doesn't interfere with any of those special dates. I missed Ethan's first birthday party because I was in the hospital with Z. Ains and Z go meet their teachers next Wednesday. Ainsley is pretty excited about that. I think Z will think it's pretty neat too. He'll be in class with his cousin Kamrie so at least he'll know someone.
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer. I have a doctors appointment this afternoon so I'll blog if anything eventful is happening! HA HA!

I can't believe it's almost time! You'll definitely be in my thoughts and prayers, as I can't even imagine getting ready for the arrival of another baby at this point. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help now or when she comes. Good luck!
