Today was my ultrasound to date the pregnancy but I have to admit, I left the office still unsure what date I'm supposed to "go" by. Not that it really matters for me since the "earliest" I've ever gone was two days late! Anyhow, the little kiddo is looking great and moving around like crazy! It took quite awhile for the tech to get some clear pictures because the baby kept moving about. The heart was beating about 163 beats per minute...can't remember the wives tale about what sex that is supposed to indicate? My EDD is January 2 which would put me at 10 weeks and 5 days today but the tech said based on the size of the baby I was really 9 weeks and 2 days, making the difference about 6 days. That made my EDD January 12 instead of the 2nd. Correct me if I'm wrong, and I've never been good in math but, isn't the difference between the 2nd and the 12th ten days???? Anyway...sometime in January is just what I'm going by. I don't see my midwife again until the 25th so I'm sure she can shed some light on the date issue. I know that they don't change your due date unless the ultrasound indicates a difference of more than a week, which it does in my case so I'm thinking I'm due a little later than we were thinking...sorry to all of you that were hoping I'd have the baby for New Years!
