A little Catching Up To Do

Been a little busy lately so I haven't been keeping up with my posts=) Summer is underway and it is going to be craziness! But in a good way of course! I am still adjusting to having all 4 kids, all to myself, all day long so it is a work in progress. For those of you who don't know, for the last 2 years we have had a wonderful babysitter, Kristen who has gone above and beyond in helping our family out. You might remember her from last summers Disney trip=) She has just completed the first two weeks of her new job at a bank and will no longer be able to help us out during the day. We are very thankful for all that she has done for us and we will still see her for an occasional date night here and there!

Ainsley just completed basketball camp last week and really seemed to enjoy it. Some of the Lady Lobos were counselors and signed her camp shirt at the end of the week. It was really awesome because one of the girls signed "Jeremiah 29:11" next to her name. I have really been thinking a lot about that verse and what it means. "'For I know the plans I have for you', declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" What an amazing verse to hold on to...especially right now.

I'm sure many of you have heard of the massive wildfires in Arizona and how the smoke and ash have been blowing our way. The picture below is what the sun and sky looked like last night as it was setting. I cannot imagine how horrible it must be for all the people who actually live there and who have been forced to leave. I pray that God brings some rain soon! I know that his hand is in everything that is happening with the fires.

Dylan has been running me ragged lately. I can no longer "leave" him for any short amount of time without him climbing on something or getting into something. We're having to revert to shutting that doors around the house again. The other day I came around the corner and he was crawling down the hall with Z's slippers on his hands! The picture is kind of blurry because he was on the go!
At dinner one night he got a piece of bread stuck to his lip and it was the funniest thing that I can't even begin to explain...one of those "had to be there" moments but it made for some funny shots=)

One of the many places he has figured out how to climb up...the playroom slide! Also his favorites: the couch, the patio furniture, the toddler bed in his room and OUT of the bathtub! (For those of you who don't know, the tub in the kids' bathroom is a sunken tub.) I'm hoping he doesn't figure out how to get out of his crib anytime soon!

And as a little side note, check out Rick-Rack and Gingham from my blog list when you get a chance. It is AMAZING! Read the post about the Friendship Bag and its adventures...I'm going to be "hosting" the bag this summer and I'm so excited!!!!

Happy Summer everyone=)
