I'm staying home from church tonight with Z and Jess because Z has pink eye. Not too fun...I think he got it at school Thursday. He woke up yesterday with nice green goo coming out of the tear duct! Even though we keep telling him he has pink eye, he is convinced that he has "geen eyes" and I'm not sure where he gets that since his eyes are brown?! Maybe it's because Ains has green eyes.
We tried all kinds of home remedies to see if we could get it to clear up so we could all go tonight but, we weren't able to do that. And on that note, it is very hard to convince a two and a half year old that we WANT the shampoo* in his eyes after practically drilling it in to him over the last year that you don't want it there. So, we're hanging out here and hoping that no one else gets it in the next few days.
*Supposedly Johnson's Baby Shampoo used to wash out the eyes helps to rid it of the bacteria that causes pink eye. Don't worry, I used it my eyes and I am amazed to say that Johnson's Baby Shampoo really IS tear-free! I always thought that was a bunch of bologna...but it's not=0)
